After realizing the tremendous demand for sensory therapy, weighted items in Canada,
Val's Kids Line has decided to bring out a new line just for weighted materials and other special needs items! We hope to provide these items to families in Canada at a much more reasonable cost. With much research on these items I have realized that, the prices are outrageous and are not within reach of many families.
Attention parents, please don't be mislead by thinking you have to order these special weighted sensory items for your children ONLY through US catalogs, because you don't! I receive many emails and phone calls from parents and teachers telling me this is the only option they have. No you don't, you can buy in Canada by a proudly Canadian Small Business.
With this sensory input of weight and pressure in these items they will make people more calm , less restless and less anxious or stressed. Without someone always being there, these items will always provide the sensory support they need. Please note: Our blankets ( comforters) & lap pads are for children, teens, and adults that are affected by Autism Disorder, ADHD, ADD, PDD-NOS, Sensory Integration Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Alzheimer's, Restless Leg Syndrome, Menopause and Insomnia.
All of my items are machine washable in warm water and may be tumble dried in the dryer. Please remove all weights ( as they are all easily removable except for the blankets) before washing!

Val's Weighted Vests:
These vests will help children have a feeling of calmness while wearing them, also giving them a sense of being grounded.
Each vest I will make, has a child friendly print with pockets on the front. Inside is a total of eight pockets holding equal amount of weights.
Vests are velcro front closures, with your choice of play buttons or no buttons at all on the front.
Weights are rice and are removable for washing purposes.

These vests are exactly the same as the weighted vests, however these do not come with pre-inserted weights.
Comes with instructions to fill with weights yourself!
Weighted Style Blankets:
"No matter what way you move, our blankets will be the same weight no matter which way you sleep!"
These blankets will be a calming and slowing down of the nervous system for those who use them.
They can come in whatever print style you can think of!
The recommended weight included in the blanket is 10% of the person's body weight, plus 1 pound.
Weights will be placed in a evenly manner inside the comforter and the weights are not removable.
They are filled with safe pellets.
Some tips
This is a great way for everyone to have a good night sleep without addictive medicines.
These weighted blankets when used will release a chemical in the brain that will naturally calm a person.

Weighted Lap Pads
The lap pads are a method of providing proprioceptive feedback and a stability for children while they work.
Each pad holds up to 4 separate weight strips ( included).
These can be removed for washing of the lap pad and are fastened in place for safe closure.

Positioning Weighted Bags
These can be made in any choice of fabric for children or adults.
Vinyl bags, fully enclosed with a removable cover. This allows for washing of the cover in cold water wash & Tumble dry. Finish off with a wipe down on the vinyl bag.

Custom Pull Up's!:
Is your child in them middle of a pull-up size?
Well I custom fit pull-up's for my own daughter who is too big for the largest size off Pull-ups and far too small for the small size in " Attends".
I make these for both boys and girls in friendly cotton prints to make them more fun to wear.
As well as looking a little less like your regular pull-up.
I use a very soft and comfortable pull up panty to start and I add the side inserts to fit your child's size.
All inserts are made from Flannel or 100% Cotton. Same price for both.
Pad liner inserts can be used as I do and depending how soiled they get and you don't mind gentle hand washing, these sometimes can be washed, hung to dry and used again and again.

Polly Filled Weight Bags:
These pellet filled bags are used for stacking, tossing and independent playing.
I have decided to not fill these weighted bags with sand. Due to the fact that these will be passed through many different sets of hands.
This will allow these to be machine washable in cold water and tumbled dry.
Comes in boys & girls assorted kid friendly prints on one side and plain fabric on the other

Once we have received your payment. Please allow 10 Days to make your order as there may be orders ahead of you. Shipping because of customs/border issues please allow up to 2 weeks for your order to arrive at your home
Paypal is the quickest method of payment, however if you would like to use a different method, Bank transfers, Money Orders* and Cheques* are all accepted.
If paying with a method other than Paypal, just simply email us with your order rather than going thru the checkout and clicking on the 'Add To Cart'.

Can't pay all at once, that's okay, just email us first before proceeding with the checkout.
